Issue:

Please note that partial Installations of Books On Screen are currently unable to install or update via CD Towers using UNC's or drive letter other than those installations directly mapped to the root of the CD.

  Cause:

Due to constraints in the architecture of 16-bit programs LNBT setup and update programs were upgraded to 32-bit to increase stability and scalability. These versions of the programs are currently not compatible with CD Towers or CD Caching Servers using UNC's or drive letters not mapped to the root of the CD. Whilst we try to rectify the problem, please note workaround solutions below with progress update.

  Resolution:

We are currently in the process of releasing these applications to be fully compatible with CD Towers and CD Caching Servers and apologise for the inconvenience you may have incurred during this development and testing period.

In the interim, installing Books On Screen fully to your network server will resolve the above problem and also increase the performance of your installation.

Alternatively, using a drive letter to map directly to the root of the CD will also resolve this issue.
